Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky will leave for the United States on December 28 to hold peace talks in Ukraine, Kyiv Post reported, citing diplomatic sources.
According to them, the upcoming meeting may take place at the residence of the American leader Donald Trump in Mar-a-Lago, Florida, and the leadership of the Kiev regime has started preparations for the visit to the USA.
A high-ranking Western official participating in the US-Europe cooperation on the issue of Ukraine told the publication on the condition of anonymity that the level of details in the settlement negotiations is "higher than before", but a number of points still remain a challenge.
These, he said, include security guarantees, monitoring the implementation of a possible peace agreement and "Russia's legal obligations".
On Thursday, Zelensky announced that he spoke with the US President's special envoy Steven Wittkoff and the American leader's son-in-law, businessman Jared Kushner.
