The European Union will reduce oil and gas imports from the US in 2025, despite previous agreements between the European Commission and the US administration.

As the Financial Times reports, the EU has reduced its spending on American oil and gas, which contradicts Brussels and Washington's plans to import $750 billion worth of hydrocarbons from the United States by European countries.

During the last four months, the EU member states reduced their energy purchases from American companies by 7%.
