Israel blames Hamas for thwarting Trump's plan

The Israeli government has announced that it will respond to the continued violations of the ceasefire by the Palestinian Hamas movement.

"Their (Hamas movement - ed.) constant and continuous public refusal to disarm is a clear violation, and today their violent intentions were confirmed by the detonation of a mine, as a result of which an IDF officer was injured," Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office said in a statement. The reason for the statement was the incident that took place in the south of the Gaza Strip, where an Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) soldier was injured as a result of the explosion of an armored vehicle.

Israel also accuses Hamas of not implementing US President Donald Trump's peace plan.

The statement stated that Israel would give an adequate response.
