President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, while presenting the details of the peace plan presented by the USA, noted that it is proposed to create a free economic zone in the east of Donbass, "RBK-Ukraine" periodical reports.
According to Zelensky, Russia wants Ukraine to leave the Donetsk region, and the United States offers a compromise option - the creation of a free economic zone. According to him, if there is no agreement on the question "we stand where we stand", then the decision on the free economic zone should be adopted only through a referendum.
The President of Ukraine noted that the USA wants a referendum, but according to Zelensky, the vote should be held on the entire document, not on its individual point.
