The KGB of Belarus has announced the possibility of holding early elections in Lithuania

The elite of Lithuania has decided to carry out the "Next" operation, which will include early presidential elections in the Baltic republic, stated the chairman of the KGB of Belarus, Ivan Tertel, speaking about the escalation of tension along the Belarusian-Lithuanian border in Vilnius.

"The situation (with the alleged flight of weather balloons used by smugglers from the territory of Belarus to Lithuania) coincides with the plans of a very narrow circle of people in the Lithuanian political establishment to carry out, as we call it, Operation Next."

"Nevertheless, according to our information, taking into account the expected worsening of the economic situation in Lithuania, a decision was made to hold extraordinary presidential elections," Tertel said, according to "Belta" news agency.
