Turkish rescuers have found the flight data recorder of the plane carrying Libyan Chief of Staff Mohammed al-Haddad, which crashed near Ankara on Tuesday evening. Turkish Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced this on TRT Haber TV channel after inspecting the scene.
"The black box was found on Wednesday at 2:45 a.m. local time (the same as Moscow time). "A comprehensive investigation is ongoing, the results of which will be announced soon," he said.
According to the minister, the Falcon 50 plane took off from Ankara's Esenboga Airport to Tripoli on Tuesday at 20:17 local time.
At 20:32, the crew reported an emergency on the plane and returned to the airport. Contact with the aircraft was lost at 20:36. The wreckage was found at 22:00 in Haymana district of Ankara province. There were eight people on board, including five Libyan soldiers.
