Tokaev had a telephone conversation with Trump

Kazakh President Kasim-Jomart Tokayev and US President Donald Trump had a long telephone conversation, the press service of the Kazakh President reports.

According to the statement, the leaders of the two countries exchanged detailed views on the bilateral agenda and the international situation, particularly Ukraine.

"Kasim-Jomart Tokayev reaffirmed his commitment to the full implementation of the agreements reached during his visit to Washington in November of this year.

Our head of state emphasized the complexity of the solution to the Ukrainian conflict, where the territorial issue is paramount and requires compromises from both sides, taking into account the actual situation on the ground.

Therefore, Kazakhstan calls on all involved parties to show patience, flexibility and professionalism and continue the search for a peace solution. At the same time, our country is not a mediator, but if necessary, it is ready to provide a negotiation platform in the spirit of goodwill.

Kasim-Jomart Tokaev noted the outstanding leadership qualities of the American president, which allowed him to end several international military conflicts and achieve positive results in strengthening the internal potential of the United States.

"Concluding, the head of state invited Donald Trump to visit Kazakhstan at his convenient time and expressed confidence that this event will be historic," Tokaev's press service said in a statement.
