The US Los Angeles-class nuclear-powered attack submarine USS Greeneville arrived at a naval base in South Korea's coastal city of Busan on Tuesday to replenish supplies and rest its crew, Yonhap news agency reported, citing the South Korean military.
"The Republic of Korea Navy said the 6.3-ton nuclear submarine USS Greeneville entered the port of Busan Naval Base on December 23 to replenish supplies and rest its crew," the agency said in a statement.
The submarine is 110 meters long, 10 meters wide and has a crew of 110 people. USS Greeneville is armed with Tomahawk precision-guided cruise missiles and 12 vertical launch systems (VLS), as well as torpedoes and four torpedo tubes.
