The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported that 16 civilians were wounded as a result of the shooting and ongoing clashes in Aleppo's Sheikh Maksud and Ashrafieh districts.
Intense clashes continue between the forces loyal to the Syrian Interim Government (SIG) and the Internal Security Forces (ISF). The fighting has intensified significantly, heavy weapons are used, which increases fear and panic among the civilian population.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights later reported the arrival of tanks, military vehicles and heavy weapons belonging to the SIG in Sheikh Maqsood and Ashrafieh districts.
