The administration of US President Donald Trump is recalling almost 30 diplomats from ambassadorial and other high-ranking positions in American missions abroad, the Associated Press reported, citing sources.
According to the agency, the heads of diplomatic missions in at least 29 countries were informed last week that their powers will end in January. They all took office under the Joe Biden administration. The largest number of US ambassadors have been recalled from Africa.
These countries include Burundi, Cameroon, Cape Verde, Gabon, Ivory Coast, Madagascar, Mauritius, Niger, Nigeria, Rwanda, Senegal, Somalia and Uganda.
