In Germany, more than 1,000 unidentified drones were reported in 2025, most often seen near military facilities, airports, defense factories and ports, according to Holger Münch, head of the Federal Criminal Office.
"More than 1,000 suspicious drones have already been reported this year. Most often they affect military facilities, airports and other important infrastructure facilities, such as defense factories or ports," Münch said in an interview with Bild.
According to him, not only individual drones were observed in the sky of Germany, but also so-called "groups of drones", that is, groups of drones making coordinated flights.
