Levon Azizyan, director of the Hydrometeorology and Monitoring Center of the Ministry of Education and Culture, reports this on his social network page. That day is called the winter solstice and tomorrow the longest night and the shortest day will be observed in the northern hemisphere.
In Yerevan, sunrise will be observed at 08:20, sunset at 17:39, the duration of the day will be only 9 hours and 19 minutes. After that, the Sun will cross the sky higher and higher every day, thanks to which the duration of the day will gradually begin to lengthen, increasing by 3 minutes in Yerevan until the end of the year.
