In the extraordinary session of December 17, the RA NA Standing Committee on Labor and Social Affairs discussed in the second reading the legislative package "On Amendments and Additions to the Law on State Benefits" and "On Amendments to the Law on State Pensions", by which the Government proposes to make the support given to every third and subsequent child born in the family a state benefit.
According to RA Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, Davit Khachatryan, it is also recommended to level the size of the one-time birth allowance.
As of today, instead of AMD 300,000 for the first and second child, AMD 1 million for the third and fourth child, and AMD 1.5 million for the fifth and subsequent child, it is proposed to set the same amount for everyone: AMD 500,000. Other changes are also proposed.
