The alleged mastermind of the Sydney terror attack has appeared in court

24-year-old Naveed Akram, the alleged organizer of the explosion on the Sydney beach, appeared in court via a video link from the hospital, the Australian ABC TV channel reports.

Terrorists opened fire on people on Bondi Beach in Sydney on December 14.

According to the New South Wales Police, they were two men, aged 50 and 24, father and son.

As a result of the shooting, 16 people were killed, including one of the attackers, and 40 were injured.

Israel's Kan Broadcasting Company reported that the shooting occurred during a Hanukkah candlelight ceremony attended by members of the local Jewish community.
