Cambodia has called on the international community to protect it from Thai aggression

Cambodia has appealed to the United Nations and the international community to protect it from Thai aggression, according to Cambodian Information Minister Nate Phektra, quoted by the Khmer Times.

According to him, Thailand's military operations against Cambodia are not undertaken for the purpose of self-defense, as the Thai side claims, but represent an attack on Cambodia's sovereignty and territorial integrity.

"This is an open attack against the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Cambodia, which requires immediate action from the United Nations and the international community to stop this aggression and terrible crimes against the Cambodian people," the minister emphasized.

He noted that Thailand not only launched attacks on Cambodian troops defending their country's sovereignty and territorial integrity, but also targeted its civilians and civilian infrastructure.
