A minute of silence will be announced every day in Ukraine

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted a bill on observing a minute of silence every day in memory of compatriots. "Strana.ua" publication reports about this.

Every day at 9:00 a minute of silence will be observed. At that moment, public transport will be stopped.

Authorities and local self-government bodies will be obliged to provide information about the minute of silence through the media and public address systems.

In Ukraine, a petition was previously created to stop subway trains at 9:00 a.m. every day to observe a minute of silence. Its author called for announcements to be made in stations and train carriages commemorating the victims of the military conflict to pay their respects and preserve the national tradition.
