He said the victims ranged in age from 10 to 87. One of the two attackers was killed and the other is in hospital in a stable condition. New South Wales Police Commissioner Mel Lenion said police were not looking for a third suspect.
"I can say that we are not looking for another criminal. Two criminals participated in yesterday's incident," Lenion said. According to the sources of the ABC TV channel, the attackers on the beach were a 50-year-old father and a 24-year-old son.
The media reported that one of them was named Naveed Akram. The police commissioner also said that two "conventional" explosive devices were found at the scene, which were not detonated.
