In the ongoing negotiations in Berlin, the authorities of Kiev, according to some reports, are ready to agree to hold elections within 100 days under certain circumstances and to refuse NATO membership, Bild newspaper reports, referring to its own sources.
"Under certain circumstances, Ukraine will be ready to accept both points of the US plan to hold elections and to withdraw from NATO membership," the publication's sources said. Moreover, Kiev is also allegedly ready to "freeze" the current line of contact, but refuses to withdraw its troops from the entire Donbas.
On December 9, US President Donald Trump announced that it is time to hold elections in Ukraine. The American leader noted that Kiev uses the conflict to avoid it.
