Aragatsotn Diocese issued a statement, which says:

The Court of General Jurisdiction of Yerevan city made a decision to extend the detention of His Grace Bishop Mkrtich Proshyan, the Barekhnam Leader of Aragatsotni Diocese, for two more months.
The Diocese of Aragatsotn condemns this repression carried out by the legal system and the illegal decision made, and considers the fact that the Archdeacon is in custody unacceptable.
We reaffirm that all the accusations are fabricated and baseless. We hope that justice will be restored soon and we pray to God Almighty for the restoration of that justice and the return of our beloved Leader."
