Russian President Vladimir Putin met with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, the correspondent of "RIA Novosti" reports.
The talks are taking place in Ashgabat, where the Russian leader arrived to participate in the forum dedicated to the International Year of Peace and Trust, International Neutrality Day and the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's permanent neutrality.
The last time Putin and Pezeshkian met in China, within the framework of the summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
The International Year of Peace and Trust was declared at the 78th session of the General Assembly at the initiative of Turkmenistan.
