The Trump administration is pressuring Volodymyr Zelensky to agree to the terms of a proposed resolution plan for the Ukraine crisis, Axios reported Monday, citing its own sources.
"Ukrainian officials have said they believe the United States is trying to distance Zelensky from European leaders in order to more effectively pressure him. Zelensky cannot make such radical decisions without consulting his main allies in Europe," the portal quoted one of the Ukrainian officials as saying.
As the source of the portal noted, the Trump administration forces Zelensky to act quickly, while the Europeans advise him to be careful and patient.
