The US criticism of the European Union is fair in a way. This was announced by Kaya Kalas, the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Reuters reports.
"There are a lot of criticisms, but I think that in a way it is fair," said the head of Eurodiplomacy. According to Callas, Washington is right in criticizing the independence of the EU.
He noted that Europeans should take responsibility for their own security. "We don't always agree with the US on various issues, but I think the general principle remains unchanged. We are the greatest allies and we must stay together," Kalas concluded.
