Article 7 of the draft law "On the State Budget of the Republic of Armenia for 2026" provides that in 2026, the provision of compensation for deposits made by citizens who are depositors in "VTB-Armenia Bank" CJSC, in the Republican Bank of the former USSR Savings Bank of the ASSR before June 10, 1993, including those born before December 31, 1944 or during military operations for the defense of the Republic of Armenia, will continue. participants or persons registered in the border communities of the Republic of Armenia as of August 1, 2014, as of August 1, 2014, whose land is not used as a result of hostilities and whose lands have been shelled by the enemy, as well as other social groups defined by the government, in accordance with the procedure defined by the government.
At present, the relations related to the payment of compensation for deposits comply with the requirements established by Article 7 of the Law "On the State Budget of the Republic of Armenia for 2025", according to which, in 2025, the provision of compensation for monetary deposits made in the Republican Bank of the former USSR Savings Bank of the ASSR until June 10, 1993 will continue in 2025, including to persons born before December 31, 1944, as well as to social groups defined by the government.
The draft law "On the State Budget of the Republic of Armenia for 2026" provides that deposit compensation payments should continue in 2026 as well, providing compensation to persons born on or after December 31, 1944.
The draft regulates the provision of compensation for money deposits made in the former USSR Savings Bank of the Republic of ASSR before June 10, 1993, including those born before December 31, 1944.
If the project is accepted, the revenues of the state budget for 2026 will not increase, and the expenses are already planned.
