Russian President Vladimir Putin has stated that the reintegration of the USSR is impossible and meaningless, and that there are no such goals.

"What kind of integration?" The Soviet Union? No, of course not, it is simply excluded... There are no such goals... It makes no sense... it is not appropriate," Putin said in an interview with India Today.

He noted that some countries are making mistakes today, which are similar to the mistakes made by the USSR in the past.

"The Soviet Union was at a certain stage in its history when its leadership, and perhaps even ordinary citizens, believed that it was so great that nothing could happen to it under any circumstances. And the idea of this greatness is the moment when the country starts making one mistake after another, thinking that everything is fine. Yes, we have made mistakes there and one small one here, but we are big enough that this will pass, we will endure. But the number of errors snowballs, and it becomes increasingly difficult to cope with them. I see the same thing today with some other countries," Putin said.
