"Hraparak" newspaper writes: "Yesterday in KP, the term of nominations for the candidates for the parliament ended. Now Nikol Pashinyan is facing a difficult choice: how to make the pre-election list.
According to the Law on Parties, the first 30 people on the list are chosen by the party conference.
Although there is no prohibition for all of them to be elected by the 1000 delegates of the conference, Pashinyan is facing a difficult situation due to his preferences and calculations, he is looking for ways to avoid circumventing the law's requirement and to form a desirable list for him, so that, for example, Lilit Makunts or Maria Karapetyan are in the first positions, which are excluded from the team if the conference chooses him. Simonyan, Tigran Avinyan and a few others will be placed in the back ranks so that they no longer claim a high position.
On the other hand, he cannot form the list alone, he must explain afterwards why he wrote so-and-so at this level, and another one higher or lower. This issue was discussed at the meeting of the KP initiative group last Thursday, Pashinyan offered his teammates opinions and suggestions regarding the selection of candidates, the formation of the list, and so far he has not made a decision on which option will work.
