What happened in Homs? 120 people were arrested

The security forces of the Syrian transitional government have arrested around 120 people suspected of participating in the recent attacks against the residents of Homs province. This was reported by the spokesperson of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Nureddin al-Bab.

"About 120 people have been arrested on suspicion of participating in the attacks on civilians in Homs," he told Al Jazeera TV channel.

On November 23, the Syrian Ministry of Interior imposed a curfew in the city of Homs to prevent unrest following the killing of a married couple, which may have been carried out to incite religious hatred. During the preliminary investigation, the law enforcement agencies found that the crime was committed for criminal, not religious, motives.
