Iran's ground forces have a new commander

Brigadier General Ali Jahanshah has been appointed the new commander of Iran's ground forces, Tasnim reports.

In his address, Jahanshahi stated that the army will strive to increase efficiency and readiness to respond to modern threats using existing experience and latest technologies.

Jahanshahi replaced Kiumars Heydari in that position, who held the position since 2016.
