Fidan stated that Turkey will continue to mediate the establishment of peace in Ukraine

Turkey will continue its active efforts and mediating role in achieving peace in Ukraine through negotiations, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan stated.

"In the conflict between Ukraine and Russia, thanks to our balanced policy that prioritizes diplomacy, dialogue and humanitarian sensitivity, we became the only country that was able to bring the parties to the negotiating table," Fidan said, as quoted by Turkiye newspaper.

According to him, during the last meeting between the President of Turkey and Vladimir Zelensky, they comprehensively assessed "the developments taking place on the ground and the options for achieving a ceasefire".

"We will continue our active efforts in close dialogue with the parties and our mediating role in achieving a stable and fair peace through negotiations," said the foreign minister.
