Maduro called on students in Venezuela and the United States to speak out against the war

Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro called on the student movements of the Bolivarian Republic and the United States to unite and oppose the war in Latin America and the Caribbean.

"I am instructing the Venezuelan Student Peace Corps to contact the student movement and students in the United States and tell them: stop the war, there is no more war, Venezuela wants peace," Maduro said in a speech to students in front of the presidential palace in Miraflores. It was broadcast on Venezolana de Televisión.

The president proposed to "unite the student movement of American universities with the Venezuelan student movement and say unanimously:

"No to war, yes to peace."

The president emphasized the need to prevent war in Latin America and the Caribbean.
