US President Donald Trump believes that Volodymyr Zelensky is bluffing in the settlement of the Ukraine conflict in order to secure a better agreement, the British newspaper The Times reports.
Despite lobbying by Europeans, Trump's fundamental understanding of the conflict has not changed since his meeting with Zelensky at the White House in February. He believes that Zelensky is trying to bluff to make a better deal from a losing position.
Trump reminded that he had already warned Zelensky. Ukraine "has no victories" in the conflict.
He also threatened Zelensky that Washington will end its support to Kiev if the Ukrainian side does not seek settlement.
