At least 67 children have died in the Gaza Strip since the cease-fire

Since the beginning of October, at least 67 children have been killed in the Gaza Strip, and dozens more have been injured, UNICEF spokesman Ricardo Pires said.

"We received reports that just yesterday seven children were killed in Gaza City. Since October 11, at least 67 children have been killed and dozens injured in the Gaza Strip. This means that two children are killed every day since the cease-fire," he said during a briefing in Geneva.

He noted that the approaching cold weather also poses a health risk for children, many of whom continue to live in tents and other temporary shelters, and families do not even have blankets.

Pires said that this leads to an increase in respiratory infections.
