The Israeli Air Force destroyed a group of five armed radicals who came out of a tunnel near Israeli positions east of the southern Gaza city of Rafah, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) press service said.
"The Israel Defense Forces found five terrorists who were coming out of an underground terrorist facility in eastern Rafah. The terrorists approached the troops stationed in the south of the Gaza Strip, creating a direct threat to the troops.
The Israeli Air Force later eliminated the terrorists," the statement said. IDF troops in the Gaza Strip have "deployed to their positions in accordance with the ceasefire agreement" and will "continue to act to eliminate any immediate threat," the IDF spokesperson's office concluded.
