The President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen announced at the press conference on the eve of the G20 to be held in South Africa that she will discuss the 28-point peace plan for Ukraine published by the US with the leaders of the EU, Volodymyr Zelensky, and within the framework of the G20.
"A 28-point program was published yesterday. We will discuss the situation with the leaders of the EU and the leaders present here in the framework of the G20. I will also contact President Zelensky to discuss this issue. One thing is important, the main principle we have always followed. nothing about Ukraine without Ukraine," he said.
According to media reports, the plan proposed by the US provides for territorial concessions by Ukraine, as well as a reduction in the number of Ukrainian armed forces.
The US expects Zelensky to sign the proposed plan by November 27, according to the Financial Times. Meanwhile, The Wall Street Journal noted that European leaders, dissatisfied with the US plan, are preparing their own counter-proposal.
