From November 15, driving with winter tires is a mandatory requirement

The Police of the RA Ministry of Internal Affairs reminds that from November 15, driving with winter tires is a mandatory requirement.

In particular, the operation of the vehicle will be prohibited if:

1, light passenger cars and trucks with a permissible maximum weight of up to 3.5 tons are not fitted with winter tires,

2, the residual height of the pattern of winter tires designed for operation in icy or snow-covered road conditions is 4 millimeters or less during traffic in the specified road conditions. Administrative measures of responsibility apply for violation of the stipulated requirements.

Creating a safe environment for citizens' lives and health is one of the priorities of the MIA Police.

Dear road users, the police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs urges you to observe the rules of traffic safety, buy winter tires with a permissible protective layer, show conscious, law-abiding and law-abiding behavior.

The mandatory requirement to drive with winter tires is valid from March 31 inclusive.
