Finland has allowed the border with Russia to reopen, but not all checkpoints. Yusi Napola, head of the country's border security unit, told Yle.
"We will assess the volume of traffic and based on that we will discuss how many checkpoints should be opened and at what times they will be," he noted.
Napola also added that before the border closures, road traffic was roughly 18 percent of pre-COVID-19 levels. He expressed confidence that it will now be lower due to European Union (EU) sanctions and other restrictions.
