Driving with winter tires is mandatory from November 15


The police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs informs.

From November 15 to March 31 inclusive, the operation of vehicles without appropriate winter tires will be prohibited.

In particular, the operation of the vehicle will be prohibited if:

1) winter tires are not installed on light passenger cars and trucks with a permissible maximum mass of up to 3.5 tons,
2) the residual height of the pattern of winter tires intended for operation in icy or snow-covered road conditions is 4 millimeters or less when driving in the specified road conditions.

For the violation of the stipulated requirements, there are measures of administrative responsibility.
