A case of arson was initiated in "Yerevan City" on the occasion of a major fire. CC:

Criminal proceedings have been initiated in connection with the fire that broke out in the "Yerevan City" shopping center operating on Komitas Avenue, according to Article 264, Part 2, Clause 2 of the Criminal Code (destruction or damage to property, which was done by arson, explosion or other public danger).

The Investigative Committee informed the media about this: "As part of the criminal proceedings, product-related, as well as fire-technical and forensic complex examinations were appointed. A preliminary investigation is being carried out," the CC said.

Let's remind that on November 6, at 11:08, the National Crisis Management Center was alerted that a fire broke out in one of the food outlets on Komitas Avenue in Yerevan.  On the call of "1 BIS" due to the complexity of the fire, four combat units and one car ladder from the rescue department of the Yerevan City Rescue Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs went to the scene.

Due to the complexity of the fire, "Call No. 3" of the complexity of the fire was announced on the spot. Officers of the Community Police, Patrol Service and Police Guard of the Ministry of Internal Affairs were also actively involved in the fire fighting.

According to preliminary data, one victim was hospitalized in a medical center. Firefighters managed to prevent the fire from spreading to other parts of the building and the gas station in the adjacent area. The fire was isolated at 13:09 and extinguished at 13:54.
