Since the cease-fire came into force, residents of the Gaza Strip have received less than 30% of the humanitarian aid needed to meet their basic needs, the press service of the Gaza Strip government reported, publishing this information on its Telegram channel.
According to him, since the cease-fire, 4,453 vehicles carrying humanitarian aid have entered the Gaza Strip, out of the planned 15,600, which is no more than 28% of the actual needs.
According to local authorities, only about 170 of the required 600 trucks enter the Gaza Strip per day, leaving Gaza facing acute shortages of food, medicine, medical equipment and fuel.
The press service blamed Israel for the "continuing suffocating blockade" of Gaza, accusing the authorities of the Jewish state of trying to incite starvation in the enclave.
On October 6, delegations of Israel and the Palestinian Hamas movement resumed indirect negotiations for the settlement of the Gaza conflict, which are being mediated by Egypt, Qatar, the United States and Turkey.
