While Nikol Pashinyan and his government are "bragging" that teachers' salaries have increased thanks to the "voluntary certification" system, it turns out that the reality shows the complete opposite. In addition to the fact that there are quite a few "high" salary earners, at the same time educators have serious complaints about the mentioned system.
In addition, the editorial office receives more and more calls from various schools that there is a great shortage of teachers today. Our preliminary studies also prove that there are many vacant positions for teachers in many schools in Armenia. It is enough to follow the official websites, as well as the social pages of the schools, to make sure how many announcements there are that require a teacher of this or that subject. The problem is acute, in particular, in the field of natural sciences, although it is not as if everything is normal in the field of humanities.
Moreover, it is noteworthy that if this problem was acute in marzes, especially in rural areas, now the situation is not good in Yerevan either. At the same time, in the conversation with us, the representatives of various schools mentioned that even the statistical data prove that there is a serious problem, but the reality is more complicated than what the statistics reflect.
