In October 2025, the volume of exports of Russia's main grain crops decreased by 20 percent, according to Interfax, director of the analytical department of the Russian Grain Union, Elena Tyurina.

While the figure for October 2024 was 8 million tons, in the second month of autumn this year it reached 6 million 454 thousand tons. Wheat export decreased by 14.2 percent, reaching 6 million 24 thousand tons. Barley exports decreased by more than half, corn by almost three times, and peas by 2.4 times.

Moreover, the range of grains, legumes and oilseed crops sold abroad has been reduced. A year ago, their number was 26, and as of October 2025, only nine.
