"As we wrote, the government will urgently continue to implement the pre-election, populist project on changing the military service from 2 to 1.5 years.
The project has already been sent to the parliament and will be discussed during the next four-day sessions. However, the government will not be limited to this, the authorities intend to come up with other similar crowd-pleasing initiatives in the coming months.
For example, they told us that they are also discussing the issue of calculating the years of mandatory military service as seniority, and this will also be submitted to the parliament in the form of a draft.
