The White House has confirmed the meeting between US President Donald Trump and Syrian Interim President Ahmed al-Sharaa on November 10. White House press secretary Caroline Leavitt made a statement about this during a press conference.
"I can confirm that this meeting will take place on Monday here at the White House," Leavitt said when asked about the meeting. According to him, the upcoming meeting is part of Trump's diplomatic efforts to "achieve peace".
On November 1, Axios, referring to the US ambassador to Turkey and special representative for Syria, Tom Barak, reported that Trump will host al-Sharaa at the White House on November 10.
