In the first match of the second round of the 2025 FIDE Chess World Cup, all grandmasters representing Armenia ended their matches with a draw, the Armenian Chess Federation informs.
Gabriel Sargsyan played a draw with Grandmaster Maxim Rodstein representing Israel with black pieces. Shant Sargsyan with white pieces, with GM George Corey representing Peru. Robert Hovhannisyan with white pieces, with Grandmaster Raunak Sadhwani representing India. Hayk Martirosyan with white pieces, with Grandmaster Vladislav Artemev representing FIDE.
It should be noted that among the Armenian chess players, Grandmasters Levon Aronian and Samuel Sevyan are also participating in the tournament. Today, Aronian won with white pieces against international master Aroniak Ghosh, representing India, and Sevyan drew with white pieces against grandmaster Tin Jinyao, representing Singapore.
The second game of the second round will start on November 5 at 13:30.
