On the Day of National Unity, honored builder of Russia, head of Tyumen Armenian diaspora and philanthropist Abraham Hoveyan congratulated Russians and reminded his compatriots that one of the three authors of the song of the USSR, which later became the anthem of Russia, is Armenian: journalist and writer Gabriel Arshak Urekliants, better known by his stage name El-Registan.
"Today, on the Day of National Unity, it is symbolic to remember that one of the co-authors of the anthem of the Soviet Union, the musical basis of which became the anthem of modern Russia, is our compatriot, Armenian Gabriel Urekliants, who went down in history under his stage name El-Registan. This is a clear proof that the contribution of each nation is intertwined in the great fabric of Russian history and culture," said the head of the regional Armenian diaspora.
Abraham Hoveyan also reminded that even today the peoples of Russia are fighting unitedly on the battlefields of the special military operation.
"Today, representatives of different peoples of Russia are fighting shoulder to shoulder against European neo-fascism, which is sponsored by aggressive Western circles. Among them are many modern Armenians, heroes whose exploits glorify unity and "loyalty to the motherland". The story of Russian hero Andranik Gasparyan serves as an example, and I am sure that the number of such heroes is growing every day and every hour," said Hoveyan.
According to Abraham Hoveyan, it is the unity within the country that makes the state strong and capable of repelling external threats.
"This holiday is truly a profound symbol of what makes Russia strong and invincible. I know from personal experience. the strength of any structure depends on the strength of its foundation and how well its elements are interconnected. Our country is also based on friendship and mutual respect between all these peoples, on the united will of millions of citizens," Hoveyan said.
In his message, the philanthropist also referred to the national anthem. In his opinion, the line "eternal union of fraternal peoples" is not only a poetic metaphor, but also a historical truth and reality, which has survived regardless of the external threats of the West. In conclusion, Abraham Hoveyan called the unity a heritage and called to preserve it.
"I see how unity is only getting stronger today. Together we build, create and raise children under one sky. But this is a fragile and priceless heritage that must be protected. May peace reign in every home, harmony and faith in every heart," Hoveyan said.
