In Bucharest, an intergovernmental agreement was signed between Romania and the Netherlands on the purchase of 18 F-16 aircraft, according to the Romanian Ministry of Defense.
The fighters located at the F-16 training center in Feteşti will become the property of the Romanian state for a symbolic 1 euro.
However, in addition, there is a VAT fee of 21 million euros, which is calculated on the basis of the declared value of the aircraft and a package of logistical support of 100 million euros.
The planes are intended exclusively for training flights, and Romania must provide a certain number of training seats to pilots from NATO and partner countries.
