The Danish government plans to allocate 1.3 million euros to the new cultural heritage fund of Ukraine. This was announced in the press release published on the website of the Presidency of the Kingdom of the Council of the European Union.
The funds will be used for the restoration of buildings, monuments and museums in Ukraine. They can only be allocated after the Danish Parliament approves the funding.
On November 3, an informal meeting of EU culture ministers will take place in Copenhagen, in which representatives of Ukraine will also participate. "The purpose of the meeting is to encourage other countries to follow Denmark's example," the statement said.
From February 2022, the amount of support provided by Denmark to Kyiv is approximately €9 billion in military aid and approximately €927 million in civilian aid.
