Trump described the cease-fire in Gaza as stable

US President Donald Trump called the cease-fire in the Gaza Strip stable. "The cease-fire is not fragile, it is strong," the American leader said in an interview with CBS News.

Trump also said that the radical Palestinian Hamas movement "could be eliminated immediately" if it did not follow the peace terms.

On October 9, Israel and Hamas, with the mediation of Egypt, Qatar, the US and Turkey, agreed to implement the first phase of the peace plan presented by Trump. The cease-fire in Gaza came into force on October 10.
