Germany's allies do not want to provide air defense systems to Ukraine. Politico:

Germany has responded to Ukraine's call to help with air defense, promising to send several air defense systems and mobilize help from allies, but almost no one followed Berlin's call, Politico, the American newspaper, citing informed sources, said. At the moment, Berlin has promised to provide Kiev with its Three of the 11 Patriot batteries, as well as more than 50 short-range Gepard air defenses and surface-to-air missiles capable of countering missiles, guided bombs and drones. German politicians, notably Foreign Minister Annalena Burbock and Defense Minister Boris Pistorius expected that the Allies would join the German initiative (Immediate Action on Air Defense).
However, Berlin's allies do not want to send their Patriot air defense systems to Ukraine, two sources familiar with the negotiations told the newspaper. NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg made it clear that the allies have systems that can be provided to Ukraine. But it was not so easy to coordinate their handover to the Ukrainian military, Politico wrote.
