Turkey expressed readiness to hold the fourth round of negotiations between Russia and Ukraine in Istanbul, as well as a possible meeting between the leaders of the two countries, Vladimir Putin and Volodymyr Zelensky.
According to "Armenpress", as reported by the Turkish Anadolu Agency, in his speech at the TRT World Forum 2025, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan stated that one of the examples of Turkey's important contribution to regional and global peace and stability is the efforts to stop the Russian-Ukrainian war.
"We are ready to hold the fourth round of negotiations between Russia and Ukraine in Istanbul, as well as a possible meeting of the leaders of the two countries. As a country that maintains a constructive dialogue with both sides, Turkey through the Istanbul process has successfully facilitated the return of the parties to the negotiating table, ensuring concrete results, including three rounds of negotiations, the exchange of prisoners and the resumption of direct dialogue between the parties," said Fidan.
Fidan added that Turkey considers diplomacy to be the right way to reach a peaceful solution in Ukraine.
