US President Donald Trump told reporters on Air Force One that the United States and Canada have no plans to resume trade negotiations.
According to Reuters, the US leader made the comments a week after announcing the end of trade talks with Ottawa, following the airing of an ad sponsored by Canadian officials criticizing the import tariffs.
At the same time, US Energy Minister Chris Wright announced that the country's goal is to resume trade discussions with Canada on basic minerals, oil and gas. However, he emphasized that the differences between the two countries arose for "good reasons".
